PHS students inducted into NHS

Perryton High School’s chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) inducted more than 30 new members into the organization. The National Honor Society is a national organization dedicated to recognizing high school students who have attained high levels of academic achievement.

Remaining amendments explained; early voting underway

Texas voters will cast ballots on 14 proposed amendments to the state constitution on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Early voting began Oct. 23, and will run through Friday, Nov. 3. at the Ochiltree County Courthouse, first floor, south office.

Save Texas history contest taking entries

Texas Land Commissioner DawnBuckingham,M.D. has announced the kickoff of the 2023 Save Texas History essay contest for fourth and seventh grade students. Essay contest encourages students to answer an important question: “What history in your community is worth saving?”
