Letters to Santa

Santa Claus has once again chosen the Herald as the official area drop-off point for letters to him. Children are welcome to bring their letters to the Herald office, Fourth and Amherst and place them in our special Santa mail box.

City to reinstate tornado debris charge at landfill Jan. 2

Officials with the City of Perryton and Ochiltree County Emergency Management released a new tornado recovery update. The city will continue to accept tornado debris at the landfill, at no cost, through Saturday, Dec. 30.

PJH STUDENTS PERFORM IN REGION CHOIR—

Students in Perryton Junior High School’s choirs competed on campus for places in the TMEA Region 1 Junior High UIL Choir. Students had to compete against over 500 other students in the region.

Hold on to your hats, it’s going to be a wild ride this next week at Ochiltree County Senior Citizens. Somewhere in between these events, I really need to do some Christmas shopping. But when?? It will happen; I still have 17 more days. No problemo.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a Crop Production and Protection Seminar at the Expo Center on Thursday, Dec. 21. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with a fee of $35.
