Area businesses, offices set Christmas hours

Christmas is only days away, and many businesses, organizations, and governmental offices are planning their days off for the holiday season. Perryton Independent School District and Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus are both closed for their holiday breaks.

Wreaths Across America ceremony Dec. 16 The Wolf Creek Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will hold this year’s annual Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. at Ochiltree County Cemetery, and at 1 p.m. at Heart Cemetery in Booker.

The Amarillo Symphony Brass Quintet visited Williams Intermediate School on Nov. 28 to perform for students in music classes and to answer questions about their instruments and other music-related topics. The quintet performed later that evening at the Perryton Junior High School Auditorium in a concert to benefit the Pathways Scholarship Program.

The Perryton Rotary Club recognized seniors Tiana Hill and Jarrett Lynch as the December 2023 Students of the Month. Hill is the granddaughter of Teresa Oliva. She runs track and field and participates in choir, theater, and one act play at Perryton High School.
