Members of the local Wolf Creek chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution visited Williams Intermediate Elementary School this week to commemorate Constitution Week by delivering copies of the United States Constitution for every fifth grade classroom.

The Texas A&M Agri-Life Extension Service will be hosting a training for all integrated pest management coordinators in Texas public schools on Sept. 27 in Amarillo. The training will be held at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Amarillo, 6500 W. Amarillo Blvd.

Two archers from Ochiltree County 4-H competed in the first-ever archery competition last week at the Tri-State Fair in Amarillo. According to 4-H archery coach Robert Flores, the archery program in 4-H currently has 10 participants, but they are always ready to welcome more.
