Perryton School Board adopts several new policies

The Perryton School Board met Thursday, Jan. 25 to take care of several items of business. January is Board Appreciation Month, and PHS culinary arts students cooked a meal for board members and PJH students presented a science experiment. Supt.

Students at Williams Intermediate were recognized in a poster contest to commemorate the 2024 Texas Conservation Awards Program with the theme “May the Forest Be with You Always.” The first place prize winner will advance to the Area 1 Division competition, covering the Panhandle and South Plains.

Rotary to host Cherry Pie Contest

The Perryton Rotary Club will host its annual Cherry Pie Contest and Sale on Saturday, Feb. 17. The event, which is the club’s largest fundraiser, is an open competition to find the best cherry pie bakers in town.
