City’s sales tax payment drops 6%

The City of Perryton’s sales tax payment for July showed a decrease, similar to most area cities, for the period.The city received $247,888 for the month, 6% less than in July 2023.

After several days of brutally hot weather, Ochiltree County finally got a small cooldown on Wednesday morning. Still, summer’s heat meant that many resident preferred to get their outdoor work and play done in the morning, when it was coolest.
