County Jail Report

Recent Ochiltree County Jail activity: Clinton Shane Woods, 33, was arrested on a warrant for a fourth degree felony charge of theft of petroleum product less than $10,000. He remained in county jail as of Wednesday morning.

City’s sales tax payment for May is down slightly

The City of Perryton’s sales tax payment was down a little over last May, but its payments to date are still up over 2023.The city received a payment of $280,819, down close to 2% over May 2023. But, its payments so far this year of $1.27 million are up nearly 1% from 2023.

City council moves forward on Murphy Park improvement project

The Perryton City Council decided on priorities for the Murphy Park renovation project, and heard an update on tornado recovery efforts at its meeting Tuesday evening.City Manager David Landis and Public Works Director Brandan Knapp asked for direction on the next priorities for the project.

‘Fast Cash’

On May 15, 2024, the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Department had outstanding warrants on the following people: Brenda Harjo, white female. No other personal information was available. Last known address was Perryton. There are two misdemeanor warrants for Harjo for issuance of bad checks.
