Perryton and Ochiltree County residents turned out in droves for KFDA NewsChannel 10’s Summer Celebration on Wednesday, July 17. The Amarillo TV station held its evening newscasts from the grounds of the Ochiltree County Courthouse.

Museum sets hypertufa planter session The Museum of the Plains at 1200 N. Main in Perryton will host a crafting session to allow participants to make their own hypertufa planters on Saturday, July 27 from 9 a.m. to noon. Hypertufa is a cement-like material that is much lighter in weight.

School board approves cell phone policy

The Perryton School Board approved new cell phone guidelines for students at its meeting July 15.Supt. Greg Brown presented the guidelines to they board. They include that cell phones remain in student backpacks and off during the school day.
