Two towns in Vermont claim to be President Chester A. Arthur’s birthplace, but research supports his opponents’ charges that he was born in Canada, and therefore, was not eligible to be president under the U.S. Constitution.
Perryton High School students were honored and recognized for their academic achievements during the year at the Academic Awards Banquet held in Rangerette Gym. City water park open for summer

The Perryton Municipal Water Park has opened for the summer swimming season.The regular hours for the water park are Monday through Saturday from 1-7 p.m. On Sundays, the pool is open from 2-6 p.m.

Kids College to have activities for children

Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus, will host their annual Kids College from June 24-27 and July 8-11.The daytime camp will feature lots of activities for kids from ages 5-12.Each class of Kids College will cost $25 per student.
