General election is Saturday

The general election to elect several members of the Perryton City Council and Perryton School Board will be held this Saturday, May 4.Voting for both the school board and city council elections will be held at Perryton High School from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.Early voting was heavy in both elections.

PHS seniors receive scholarships in annual awards

Local scholarships were awarded to Perryton High School seniors at the annual awards assembly on Wednesday morning, with the presentation of 118 scholarships from local businesses, organizations, and individuals.Several honors were also announced.

FCCLA competes at state

Perryton High School’s chapter of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) competed at the state conference on April 12-14 in Dallas.There were 17 members of FCCLA who advanced from Region 1 competition to participate at the state competition.

Four residents die in Monday crash
