Summer Jelinek of the Dallas area will begin the Leadership Perryton XXIII speaker series on Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Frank Phillips College Allen Campus.Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., and the seminar will start at 6 p.m.There is no charge to attend.

Quilt guild elects new officers

The Friendship Quilt Guild announced new officers and the membership drive at its meeting Sept. 11 at Community Worship Center Outgoing president Melba Johnson called the meeting to order, and announced she was resigning from the quilt guild for health reasons after many years of membership.
