PHS and PJH choir concerts setPerryton High School and Perryton Junior High choirs will hold their fall concerts on Monday, Oct. 7. The PJH choirs will perform at 6 p.m. at the Junior High Auditorium; the PHS choirs will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the High School Auditorium.

The summer of 2024 is in the books, and Dr. Mark Wentzel, hydrologist with the Texas Water Development Board, says it ended up in the middle of the pack when compared to the last 25 summers – the 12th most miserable during that time period.

Logan Reagan has been named the Young Careerist of the Month by the Panhandle Professional Women’s Club.She is a speech-language pathologist at Ochiltree General Hospital. She and her husband, Chase, have one son, Briggs, seven months.

Early voting in Nov. 5 election begins Oct. 21

Early voting in the Nov. 5 general election will begin in a little over two weeks.The early voting period will begin on Monday, Oct. 21, and run through Friday, Nov. 1.Early voting for all precincts will be in the Ochiltree County Courthouse, first floor, south office.

The Jennie June Club of Perryton will hold its fall Book Sale for 2024 at Perry Memorial Library during the month of October.Patrons can buy used books and videos at a bargain price, one dollar for hardbacks, 50 cents for paperbacks and $1 for videos, during the month.
