Rangers lose close contest to Estacado Matadors, 26-20

The Rangers lost a close one, 26-20, to Lubbock Estacado Thursday night in Lubbock. Perryton played hard but turnovers at inopportune times made the difference. The Rangers started off with a bang. Estacado took the opening kick off, but in four plays had to punt.

Rettes drop three matches

The Rangerette volleyball team continues to trudge through their tough district schedule. Perryton played their best match of the district season in Borger last Saturday. The Rettes were defeated in five sets by the scores of 25-16, 16-25, 25-12, 23-25 and 15-4, but played well.

Rangers ranked number two in state

It has become the norm for the season. The Ranger cross country team wins in the most dominant of fashions. They once again won the Dalhart Invitational Meet with 15 points, which is the lowest possible score. Additionally, the Rangers have climbed the state ranks to the number two spot.

Rangers travel to Lubbock Estacado this Thursday

Fresh off their big win over Levelland last Friday, the Perryton Rangers will travel to Lubbock for a rare Thursday night game against Estacado. Game time is 7 p.m. Seminole will host Borger on Friday, while Levelland will be idle.

Rangers dominate again

The Ranger cross country team is climbing the state rankings. After handily defeating the Canyon Eagles last week, they jumped over them in the rankings. Perryton moved from fifth in the state 4A rankings to number three this week.

The Rangerette volleyball team is competing in the toughest 4A district in the state. If the teams were not in the same district, many of them could travel deep into the playoffs. The Rettes continue to battle the injury bug and inconsistency.

Rangers dominate in Canyon

The Perryton Ranger cross country team ran in the Canyon Invitational meet Saturday. This event hosts numerous teams of all classifications with a large number of races. It served as a good chance for Perryton to face some of their district competition.

Rangerettes struggle in Pampa

The Rangerette volleyball team entered a tough venue on Saturday to face the Pampa Lady Harvesters. Perryton continues to fight the injury bug and were limited without the production from leading scorer and defender Gisselle Hernandez. Hernandez remains on the injury reserve list with a foot injury.
