Fanning rites set

Wanda Lou Fanning, 86, of Perryton died July 30, 2021. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, over Zoom. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. She was born May 5, 1935 in Hardeman County and grew up in Lubbock.

Wanda Jo Rankin, 83, of Canadian went to be with Jesus, Friday, July 30, 2021, in Canadian. Graveside services were held Monday, Aug. 2, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery, with Bo Rankin and Charlie Rankin, officiating.

Maria Evangelina “Eva” Vigil, 69, of Perryton died July 27, 2021. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 31, at 2:15 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Cesar Gomez officiating. Burial will follow at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian.

Rites held for Luther

Stewart Evan Luther, 31, of Perryton died July 27, 2021. Services were held Friday, July 30, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 11, 1990.

Gilbertine (Gil) Mize Carroll

Gilbertine (Gil) Carroll died peacefully in Houston, Texas on July 5, 2021. Gil was born March 22, 1947 in Perryton, Texas to Gilbert and Dannie Mize. She was a twirler at Perryton High School and graduated in 1965.

Betty Lucille (Line-Hamon) was born in Perryton on January 22, 1937. Betty was called home to the Lord on Sunday July 11, 2021, unexpectedly in Lubbock. Her parents were Oliver and Lucille Martin. She was raised in Perryton, and Liberal, KS. They moved back to Perryton, where she finished school.
