PHS senior awarded Thoma Scholarship to Texas Tech University

Lindsey Valenzuela, a senior at Perryton High School, has been selected as a recipient of the four-year Thoma Scholars Program scholarship.This award will support Lindsey’s pursuit of higher education at Texas Tech University beginning in the fall of 2025.

Commissioners approve constable’s office move

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday morning at the Ochiltree County Courthouse.Among other items on the agenda, the commissioners approved a request by County Constable Tim Olivarez to move his office into the old sheriff’s office adjoining the courthouse.

Several FCCLA students advance to state event

Perryton High School’s chapter of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) had 18 members compete at this year’s Region 1 STAR Event Competition on March 6-8 in Lubbock, with several advancing to state.
