The Jennie June Club’s 50th annual book sale is underway right now at the Perry Memorial Library. The club’s first book fair was a one-day sale held in 1970, and the club’s president in 1970, Evelyn Barnett, is still a member of the club today.

PACKING SNACKS FOR SNACK PAK

Perryton’s Snack Pak 4 Kids has begun meeting again to pack snacks for hungry kids. About 30 Snack Pak volunteers gathered Monday evening at Williams Intermediate School to pack snack bags with nutritious food to help food-insecure students stave off hunger.

Producers can sign up for USDA CFAP 2 program through Dec. 11

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced up to an additional $14 billion for agricultural producers who continue to face market disruptions and associated costs because of COVID-19. Signup for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP 2) began Sept. 21 and run through Dec. 11.
