Rhett Laubach of Edmond, OK was the latest speaker in the Leadership Perryton series. He spoke on “Cheetah Leaders” at the Frank Phillips College Allen Campus on Thursday evening. The seminar was sponsored by FirstBank Southwest and Harvey’s Electric.

Wreaths Across America to honor veterans Dec. 19

For the fifth time, Ochiltree County will participate in the nationwide “Wreaths Across America” ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. at Ochiltree Cemetery. The event is sponsored by the Wolf Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

On Nov. 4, 2020, the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Department had outstanding warrants on the following people: Lydia Maria Cano, white female. Date of birth, Jan. 18, 1963. Last known address was Perryton. There is one misdemeanor warrant for Cano for resisting search or transport.

Several people arrested

No offense reports were available this week, but the Ochiltree County Jail has been busyover the past two weeks. Krayla Schroeder, 40, was arrested on a warrant for a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. She was released on $50,000 bond.

Book Fair is underway The Jennie June Book Fair has begun again. It will continue at Perry Memorial Library until the end of November. The Jennie June Club invites everyone to come out for special deals on books for 50 cents and under which support the library programs.
