Property damage reports investigated

Several property damage incidents were investigated by police during the week. Benito Cano, 622 1/2 S. Amherst, reported the window of his camper had been broken out, and an unknown person had also entered the camper. Damage was estimated at $300. Christian Olmos, 714 S.

County finally gets significant amount of rainfall

After too many months of, at best, minimal rainfall, Ochiltree County finally got visited by several days of significant rainfall this week. KEYE Radio’s official rainfall tally, starting last Saturday, eventually totaled 1.22 inches of precipitation. Ron Stinson in Waka reported 1.

Active COVID-19 cases continue to fall

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County fell again this week. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 stand at 12, down from 16 last Thursday’s numbers.

Someone who faces the glare of publicity is said to be in the limelight. American chemist Robert Hare discovered that a blowpipe flame acting upon a block of calcium oxide, which is lime, produces a brilliant white light that could be used to illuminate theater stages.
