DONKEY ON THE LOOSE—Many Perryton residents got treated to the sight of a donkey running loose on Main Street Tuesday morning. The animal apparently escaped from a horse trailer near Chihua’s and then went for a trot south down Main Street. It was eventually corralled by local police and passersby.

City council reviews new school zone ordinance, proposed budget

The Perryton City Council had the first reading on a proposed school zone ordinance and reviewed the 2021-22 proposed budget at its meeting Monday evening. Public Works Director Brandan Knapp went over the ordinance with the council.
