Still only one COVID case in the county

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Ochil-tree County remain unchanged this week at just a single case. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 stands at one, unchanged from Tuesday afternoon.

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Texas continues to drop, with 9,534 reported as of Sunday for the previous week — a small fraction of mid-January’s record high of nearly 159,000.

A burglary and dead livestock were investigated during the week. Patrick Otto, 10 S. Date, reported his residence had been burglarized. Taken were a laptop and a tool box. There is a suspect in the case.
