School may be out for the summer, but Snack Pak 4 Kids is still working hard to make sure kids get delicious and nutritious snacks. The organization is distributing snack bags every Thursday through the end of July from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Stark Park, Leatherman Park, and Murphy Park.

July 4 fireworks show set

Ochiltree County residents will get to celebrate Independence Day as they have for years, with the Perryton Lions Club hosting its Annual Fourth of July Fireworks at Lake Fryer in Wolf Creek Park on Sunday, July 4. The display will begin just after dusk, about 9:30-9:45 p.m.

On June 30, 2021, the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Department had outstanding warrants on the following people: Richard Reed, no personal information was available. Last known address was Pampa. There are three misdemeanor warrants for Reed for issuance of bad checks.

TCEQ assists Aransas Pass with water contamination

TheTexas Commission on Environmental Quality i working with the city of Aransas Pass after its water system was apparently chemically contaminated by a backflow from a local business. Antifreeze is the possible contaminant, according to published reports.

Bicycle is stolen

Few offenses were reported to local law enforcement during the week. Leticia Olivas reported her bicycle had been stolen from 814 1/2 S. Fordham. It was valued at $280. There is a suspect in the case.
