Special ed records to be destroyed

Perryton Special Education SSA is giving notice to destroy the special education records of students with disabilities (including speech) who graduated or were dismissed from special education in May 2013 and May 2014.

Blood drive set at FPC

Coffee Memorial Blood Center will hold a community blood drive on Tuesday, Sept. 7, from 3-6 p.m. at Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus. Photo identification will be required. Donors must be at least 17 years old, but donors who are 16 may donate with a signed parental consent form.

If the IRS does call a taxpayer, it should not be a surprise because the agency will generally send a notice or letter first. Understanding how the IRS communicates can help taxpayers protect themselves from scammers who pretend to be from the IRS with the goal of stealing personal information.
