Students at all schools in the Perryton Independent School District got to celebrate Friday night’s Homecoming game with dress-up days all week.

Active COVID-19 cases up again in Ochiltree County

Ochiltree County’s active COVID-19 cases have risen again this week. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 have risen to 37, up from 34 last Thursday afternoon.

PISD to hold COVID vaccination clinic

The Perryton ISD will host a vaccine clinic for students later this week. The PISD will offer a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for interested PISD students ages 12 and up. The optional vaccine will be available on Friday afternoon, Sept. 10, from 4-8 p.m.

American Legion reschedules meeting

The American Legion Post 254 has changed its monthly meeting to Monday, Sept. 13, at the Senior Citizen Center instead of Labor Day, Sept. 6.. A meal will be served at 6 p.m., and the meeting itself will begin at 7 p.m. All veterans are welcome to attend.

Serendipity to celebrate 50th anniversary

American Legion to offer drawings

The American Legion Post 254 will hold two drawings at the end of August. The organization will draw for a five-day, four-night stay at KXDJ-1, a cabin owned by KXDJ Radio in Red River, NM. Tickets are $50 each or six for $250. The cabin can host eight people and normally rents for $1,300-$3,000.

Child Find underway

The Perryton ISD is looking for children ages 3-21 years who may be slow in developing communication skills, social interactions, walking skills and or have major physical disabilities.
