SNACK PAK RECEIVES CHAMBER DONATION—Snack Pak 4 Kids received a donation of $255.40 from the Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday evening.

On Nov. 3, 2021, the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Department had outstanding warrants on the following people: Warren McCarty, no personal information was available. Last known address was Amarillo. There is one misdemeanor warrant for McCarty for issuance of bad checks. Victor Messner, Jr.

Very few offenses reported

It was a light week for crime, with very few offenses reported the past week. Tamara Brown, 309 SE 15th, reported the windshield of her vehicle had been broken out. Police also investigated a report of a counterfeit $100 bill.

Silver-Haired Legislature meets

The Texas Silver-Haired Legislature (TSHL) conducted its second of three sessions for the 2021-2023 biennium recently at the Courtyard Marriott in Pflugerville. Jerome and Bobette Doerrie of Booker represent the 26 counties of the Panhandle and the Amarillo Area Agency on Aging.

Active COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County have dropped significantly since last week. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 have dropped to 45, down from 55 on Thursday afternoon.
