RIBBON CUTTING FOR PINK ROSE BOOK SHOP—Members of the Perryton Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce gathered last week for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening of the Pink Rose Book Shop at 310 S. Main in Perryton. The bookstore and coffee shop is owned by Lucretia and Kyle Morgan.

Active COVID-19 cases hold steady

Active COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County were unchanged from earlier this week. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 held steady at 32, the same number as last Tuesday.

CrimeStoppers ‘Fast Cash’

On Nov. 11, 2021, the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Department had outstanding warrants on the following people: John R. Pace, no personal information was available. Last known address was Perryton. There is one misdemeanor warrant for Pace for issuance of bad checks.

United Way tops 80% of goal

The Ochiltree United Way’s 2022 fund drive made great progress the last two weeks, and is now at 80% of its $92,000 goal. As of late last week, the campaign had raised $73,611. Five new 100% Companies were also added to the list, bringing the total to 20.

City’s sales tax payment is up 13% for November

The City of Perryton received some good news about its sales tax receipts this month. The November sales tax allocation was $282,379, which is almost 13% higher than November 2020. For the year, the city is just slightly behind payments to date, .22%, with $2.45 million so far.
