Angel Tree donations wanted for needy kids Panhandle Crisis Center’s Angel Trees have been set up at United, Lowe’s, Family Dollar, and Walls. To donate, simply remove an angel ornament from the tree. On the back of each ornament, you’ll find the gender, age, and size of a specific child.

Every female Palmer amaranth plant can produce over 1 million seeds that may germinate and compete with a cotton crop. One doctoral student is taking on these weeds, which rob farmers through herbicide costs, yield damage or quality losses.

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court took care of a full agenda on Monday morning at the Ochiltree County Courthouse. The commissioners discussed a proposal to offer sign-on bonuses and contracts for licensed peace officers applying for deputy positions at the Sheriff’s Office.

Active COVID-19 cases drop in county
