Funeral service for fallen Marine set for Thursday

The funeral service for a Perryton resident killed 80 years ago in the attack on Pearl Harbor has been scheduled for this Thursday, April 28, at 3 p.m. Pvt. Waldean Black was a United States Marine from Perryton who will killed in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.

COVID cases remain low in Ochiltree County

COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County are still refreshingly low this week. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, the county has had only two new cases of the virus in the last 14 days, a decrease of 33% over the prior 14 days.

Dutcher rites held

Edwin Glenn Dutcher, 67, of Perryton died April 14, 2022 in Wichita, KS. A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 19, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation and arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers, Funeral Home of Perryton. He was born June 14, 1954 in Perryton.
