PHS art show spotlights student talent; Enriquez takes top prize

Perryton High School’s annual art show will begin next week. The show, featuring art created this year by PHS art students, will run from May 2-10 during school hours at the high school.

Early voting ends on Tuesday for May 7 election

There are just two days left in the early voting period for the May 7 election. So far, only around 159 people had cast early ballots in the election, as of early afternoon on Friday. Early voting is conducted at the Ochiltree County Courthouse, first floor, south office.

BUTLER AWARDED SWCD SCHOLARSHIP—Ochiltree Soil and Water Conservation District awarded Cassidee Butler the Ochiltree Soil and Water Conservation District Bill Miller Memorial Scholarship earlier this month. The scholarship is for $1,200 to be used over a two-year period.

Two arrests are made

No offense reports were available this week. In county jail activity: Sara Marie Maxwell, 39, was arrested on a warrant for a fourth degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one gram. She was released on $30,000 bond.
