Wheatheart Celebration ready to go

This year’s Wheatheart of the Nation Celebration is ready to begin in mere days. The Perryton Ochiltree County Chamber of Commerce has put the final touches on their schedule for the 103 rd anniversary celebration. Scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 2 is a Free Movie Night at the Ellis Theater at 7 p.m.

Meals on Wheels volunteers and food service staff from The Seasons Assisted Living Center are still delivering meals to clients of the program every weekday. Meals on Wheels provides nutritious meals to low-income clients and those who are too old or ill to prepare meals for themselves.

Harlan Dale Bunch, 74, of Pawhuska, OK, formerly of Perryton, died July 15, 2022 at Sedan City Hospital in Sedan, KS. Cremation has taken place, with arrangements under the direction of Dickens Family Funeral Home in Sedan.
