FOOTBALL CONTEST WINNER Paxton Denton was the grand prize winner of the Herald’s annual football contest, with an impressive 70 points. PHS HOLDS ANNUAL VETERANS DAY PROGRAM Perryton High School’s annual Veterans Day program brought together veterans from recent campaigns in the Middle East all the way back to World War II. In addition to presentations recognizing every veteran attendee, there was also a special presentation focusing on Perryton’s two remaining veterans of World War II, Ernest Barclay and John B. Hardy. GIVEN SPEAKS AT LEADERSHIP PERRYTON SERIES Mark Given of Roanoke Rapids, NC was the latest speaker in the Leadership Perryton series. He spoke on “Trust Based Success” at Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus on Tuesday evening. The seminar was sponsored by Perryton National Bank and Conoco Phillips. Perryton Elks Lodge 2368 donated $4,000 to the VA Hospital in Amarillo to help with supplies for residents of the facility. The donation was made possible through one of the grant programs available to Elks Lodges across the country.
