There were no offense reports available this week. In county jail activity: Randy Michael Hargues, 28, was arrested for felony parole violation. No bond was set and he remained in county jail as of Wednesday morning.

No donations in January at Resale Store The Panhandle Crisis Center Resale Store will not be taking donations during the month of January due to being at capacity. Beginning on Feb. 1, the store will return to its previous schedule of taking donations from the first through the 15th of every month.

The City of Perryton is making preparations for the extreme cold front expected to hit Wednesday evening, and is asking residents to prepare for the freezing temperatures. Temperature are expected to be in the single digits on Thursday, and in the teens on Friday.

OGH receives federal grants

The Ochiltree County Hospital District Board of Directors met on Monday evening in the conference center at Ochiltree General Hospital. Along other items on the agenda, the board learned that federal grant money from the Healthcare Relief Fund had been distributed to the district.

United Way drive over $100,000

The Ochiltree United Way 2023 fund drive has now passed the $100,000 mark as 2022 draws to a close. As of this week, the campaign has received $100,543 in donations, which is 106% of its $94,300 goal. The extra funds will be also allocated among the member agencies at a later date.
