Let’s have some fun! After all this work, mess and closing down... it’s time to show off the remodel. We could call it a Re-Grand Opening/Game Night/Pot Luck Dinner Night. It will be on Tuesday evening, March 21, beginning at 6 pm.

Online ‘Drought Proofing the Ranch’ course now available

The TexasA&MAgri Life Extension Service’s course Drought Proofing the Ranch is now available online. The cost is $100 however, the first 100 registrants will receive the course at no cost. The course is two hours, but participants may view it at their own pace. Register at https://tx.

City sees quiet week for crime

A couple incidents of criminal mischief were reported to the Perryton Police Department this week. In the alley in the 1900 block of South Indiana, a dumpster and fence were reported spray painted. Also reported was a vehicle that was egged at a residence in the 100 block of South Fordham.

Erika Hernandez was chosen as the Young Careerist for the Month by the Panhandle professional Women’s Club. She is married to Jose A. Hernandez, and they have three children, Daisy, 20 years old, Jiovanni, 17, and Gisselle, 10. She owns Hernandez Bookkeeping & Tax Services and is an accountant.
Perryton High School’s Theatre Department performed in UIL One-Act Play District competition on Tuesday here in Perryton, qualifying as Alternate. Perryton’s play was “Suite Surrender” by Michael McKeever. The farce is set at a luxury hotel in the 1940s as two Hollywood divas are accidentally booked into the same suite. City’s March sales tax payment takes 13% drop

The City of Perryton’s sales tax payment in March took another drop, just under 13% for the month. The city received a payment of $207,197.03 for the period. For the year, the city is down almost 12 percent from 2022, with $759,049.85 in payments so far.
