Results announced for Loaded Chamber

Target shooting enthusiasts traveled to Ochiltree County Saturday to compete in the Loaded Chamber shooting clays competition. The competition, sponsored by the Perryton Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce, was held at the Chuck Waller Range, across from Wolf Creek Park.

Wolf Creek Park detour set during construction

The State of Texas began work on removing and replacing the Wolf Creek tributary bridge on County Road U on Wednesday, and will continue several weeks. Because of the demolition, drivers who access Wolf Creek Park from CR U will need to follow a marked detour from US 83 to FM 2711 to CR 24.

PISD bond issues pass in Saturday general election

Both bond propositions in the Perryton ISD May 6 election were passed by voters by decisive margins in the May 6 general election. Proposition A, for $35.1 million, is for major renovations at Wright Elementary and Perryton High School had a total of 645 voting in favor and 408 voting against.
