The Perryton Rotary Club has named Perryton High School seniors Jessica Flaming and Efrain Rosales as the May Rotary Students of the Month. Flaming is the daughter of Jaymie and Braden Flaming. She has two siblings, Jayden and Bradie.

The Perryton School Board hired several more people during two recent special meetings. On May 10, the board approved hiring Francisca Zavala as the assistant principal at Perryton High School on a two-year administrator contract.

Local scholarships were awarded to Perryton High School seniors at the annual awards assembly on Wednesday morning, with the presentation of over 40 scholarships from local businesses, organizations, and individuals. Several honors were also announced.

Perryton and Ochiltree County enjoyed slow, soaking rain showers over the weekend, adding precious precipitation to desperately thirsty lawns and farmland. KEYE Radio’s official rainfall total was .94 of an inch of rain.
