MORRIS RETIRES AS JAIL ADMINSTRATOR— The Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Office recognized the retirement of longtime jail administrator Tom Morris recently. Morris served the county for over 16 years as the jail administrator. His replacement as jail administrator will be Kim Rios. Pictured are, from left, Sgt. New Texas law cracks down on street racing

Gov. Greg Abbott last week signed two laws cracking down on illegal street racing. House Bills 1442 and 2899 enhance penalties for those involved in such activities and provide law enforcement and prosecutors additional tools to address those crimes.
