At the request of the Wolf Creek Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Perryton Mayor Kerry Symons signed a proclamation designating the week of Sept. 17-23 as Constitution Week.

Work crews from the City of Perryton’s Streets department were out repairing the road on Monday morning at SW 4th Avenue. The road repairs were needed because a gas valve had been replaced at that location.

More storms bring more rain to county

Rain storms that passed through the area last Thursday and Friday brought more moisture to Perryton and Ochiltree County. Senn and Lou Ann Slemmons, who live in the 1200 block of Drake, reported 3.63 inches of rain.
