United Way drive is at 74% of goal

The Ochiltree United Way’s 2024 fund drive added more contributions toward its goal. As of Tuesday, the campaign had raised $69,750 which is 74% of the $94,300 goal. Six new 100% Companies have joined the list, bringing the total to 13.

PISD board hires bond project firm

In a special meeting Nov. 28, the Perryton School Board hired a firm for the bond project, and heard the audit report for 2022-23. The board unanimously hired Huseman Builders Inc. to complete the bond project. Supt.

Giving Garland set up to assist customers

The City of Perryton has been setting up their Giving Tree in City Hall for years to help local citizens who may have trouble paying their winter heating bills. But the tradition is looking a little different this year. City Hall has moved to a new location at 417 S.

Johnson to speak in Perryton Dec. 7

Shawn Johnson of Dallas is the next featured speaker in the Leadership Perryton series. She will hold a seminar on Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Frank Phillips College Allen Campus. Registration begins at 6 p.m., with the program to start at 6:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend.

Rifle and Pistol Club sets monthly meeting The Perryton Rifle and Pistol Club will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. at the indoor range south of the Expo Center. The club will be discussing new and ongoing projects.

School board hears good news about PJH

The Perryton ISD Board of Trustees met Thursday, Nov. 16. Superintendent Greg Brown recognized many students for their accomplishments in football, FFA, basketball, and bass fishing. The most important recognition he gave was to Perryton Junior High.
