On Jan. 3, 2024, the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Department had outstanding warrants on the following people: John William McCaslin, no personal information was available. Last known address was Dickinson. There is one misdemeanor warrant for McCaslin for issuance of bad checks.

PHS Powerlifting

The PHS powerlifting teams competed in their first meet of the season last Friday in Dumas. The girls and boys teams both finished second as a team. “Each team had only a few varsity lifters from last year. They competed very well and hit many personal records,” Coach Casey Arruda said.

Wolf Creek DAR presents Good Citizens scholarship award

The Wolf Creek Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution met Dec. 19 at First Methodist Church. Hostesses were Anna Lee Barton, Nikki Green, Darla Kile, Molly Haley and Virginia Scott.

Commissioners okay sale of airport hangar to CDC

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday morning at the Ochiltree County Courthouse. The commissioners approved the sale of an airport hangar from Perryton Service Company to the Perryton Community Development Corporation.
Meals on Wheels volunteers turned out last Thursday morning at The Seasons Assisted Living Center to gather and organize food trays before making deliveries to clients of the program. Meals on Wheels provides nutritious meals to low-income clients and those who are too old or ill to prepare meals for themselves. The program is always looking for more volunteers to help deliver meals. Pictured are, from left, DeAnn Dear, Sherri Rima, and Dave Rima.

City to begin rebuilding of Murphy Park project

The Perryton City Council officially adopted a building code ordinance, and heard an update on the Murphy Park rebuild and the unsafe building process at its meeting Tuesday evening. The council began the meeting with the resignation of councilman Shae Cunningham, who has served for several years.
