Perryton’s Bethlehem Lutheran Church, located at 611 S. Grinnell, will celebrate its 100th anniversary this Sunday, Sept. 8 with a reception.The church held its first service on Sept. 7, 1924.The church will hold a special celebratory service on Sunday evening at 6 p.m.

Perryton suffers power outage

ApoweroutageonMonday afternoon left most of Perryton without electricity for most of the evening.According to Wes Reeves, senior media relations representative at Xcel Energy, the power outage began at 3:30 p.m. because of a failed circuit switcher in the Perryton Substation.

Perryton man dies in truck accident

A Perryton man was one of two people who died in a semi truck accident on Tuesday afternoon.The accident occurred on SH 136, about four miles south of Gruver, at 2:22 p.m. on Tuesday.Adrian Ceniceros, 20, of Perryton, was one of the two men who died in the accident.
