PJH 7 th Grade Girls “B” Basketball

The Perryton Junior High seventh grade girls’ “B” team hosted the Pampa seventh grade “B” team on Feb. 2, picking up a big 29-17 win. Perryton led 4-0 after the first period, and a strong second quarter saw them increase that lead to 21-8 going into the half.

PJH 8 th Grade Girls “B” Basketball

The PJH eighth grade girls “B” team notched a big 31-15 victory over Pampa on Feb. 2 at home. After the first quarter, Perryton was ahead 6-0, and by the half, they led 17-9. Perryton scored 6 more points, to Pampa’s 4, in the third quarter, to take a 23-13 lead going into the final period.

Rangers fall in Dumas

After a close game in their first district matchup, which the Rangers won 52-50, the Dumas Demons got revenge at home on Tuesday. The Demons outscored the Rangers in every quarter to win going away by the final score of 68-53.

Low scoring fourth quarter dooms Rettes

The Rangerette basketball team traveled to Dumas to face the Demonettes on Tuesday night. Perryton took the first district game between these two teams, 64-54 in a high scoring affair. Tuesday’s game was a low scoring contest, which had the Rettes struggling to score in the fourth quarter.

Perryton High School senior Kaeden Wilson has offi cially signed to play volleyball at Pratt Community College in Pratt, KS. Wilson will be starting classes at PCC in the fall.

Rettes improve against the Lady Eagles

The Canyon Lady Eagles basketball team came to town for their second contest of the season against the Rangerettes. Canyon is cruising through the season and is undefeated in district play. The much larger school has easily handled the smaller school competition in district play.

Rangers drop close game to Canyon

The Canyon Eagles basketball team brought their undefeated district record to Perryton on Tuesday for a showdown with the Rangers. Perryton sits with a 3-1 record in district play. The game ebbed and flowed and was close throughout the contest.

Rettes secure needed win over Borger

The Rangerette round ballers traveled to Borger for an important district game on Friday. It was the second meeting between the two teams this season. Perryton easily won the first game by the final score of 65-29.

The PJH seventh grade girls “B” basketball team lost a close one, 17-16 to Dalhart Jan. 25 in Perryton. Dalhart led 7-4 at the end of the first quarter, but by the half were up 13-10. Scoring was even in the third period, with each team making 2 points.

The PJH eighth grade girls “B” basketball team hosted Dalhart on Jan. 25, picking up a big 30-17 win. Perryton was ahead 12-7 at the end of the first quarter, and scored 2 points in the second period, to take a 24-7 lead at the half.
