Ochiltree County 4-H members compete at Panhandle Roundup

Ochiltree County 4-H members competed recently at the Panhandle District 4H Roundup contests in Amarillo, and three qualified for state competition.More than 500 students from the top 22 counties in the Panhandle competed in the various contests, including 22 from Ochiltree County.

Ranger powerlifters headed to regionals

Some 20 Ranger powerlifters will advance to regional competition.They will leave March 7 for weigh ins, and lift March 8 at Abilene Wylie.Qualifiers are freshmen Khadyn Juarez and Ethan Ruelas; sophomores Ricardo Barron, Colton Castanon and Xavier Valles.

Rangers lose bi-district game, 28-27

The Rangers lost a heartbreaker, 28-27, in an overtime to the Monahans Lobos last Friday night in a bi-district playoff game. The teams squared off at Pirate Field in Lubbock.The Rangers end their season with a 4-7 overall record, 2-2 in district.
