Booker Lady Kiowas defeat Rangerettes

The Rangerette softball team hosted the Booker Lady Kiowas on Tuesday. Perryton has struggled in the early season with fielding errors and coming up with timely hits. Those woes continued on Tuesday as Booker defeated the Rettes in 5 innings by the run-rule score of 14-3.

PAC DONATES SPORTS EQUIPMENT TO SCHOOLS—The Perryton Activity Center donated new recess sports balls for students at Wright Elementary, Williams Intermediate, and the new after-school program, Ranger Camp.

Powerlifting Rangers qualify for regionals

The regional powerlifting meets will be loaded with Perryton High School lifters. The Rangerettes qualified 25 lifters while the Rangers almost equaled that total with 24 lifters. In order to make the regional meet, lifters must have totals within the top 12 lifters in the region.

PHS tennis competes in Canadian tourney

The Perryton High School tennis teams continued one of their most successful seasons on record at the Canadian Tournament on Monday. The entire tournament was played on Monday to beat the inclement weather planned to arrive later in the week.

Rangerette softball opens the season

The high school softball season is off and running despite battling the cold weather and high winds. Coach Tessa Powell once again leads the Rangerettes softball program. Perryton opened play on the road against the Tascosa Lady Rebels.

Rette powerlifters qualify for regionals

The Rangerette power-lifting team competed in Borger last Thursday for their final chance to qualify a weight total for the regional meet. The regional meet will be loaded with Rangerette lifters, as Perryton qualified 25 lifters. “We have 25 qualifiers! Hard work is paying off!!

RANGERS MAKE DONATION TO OGH

RANGERS MAKE DONATION TO OGH—The Perryton Rangers basketball team held a special “Rangers vs. Cancer” fundraiser during their game against Dumas on Feb. 4. The team was able to raise and donate $615 to Ochiltree General Hospital for cancer prevention services.

Rangers host Canyon

It was an important game for each team as the Perryton Rangers hosted the Canyon Eagles on the hardwood. The Rangers needed a win in Tuesday’s game to cling to the hope of making the playoffs.
