You can never start too young when learning to be a sand volleyball champion. Eli Kile, age 6, and his dad Brad Kile (at right) got in some valuable practice time on Thursday evening prior to the Perryton Activity Center’s sand volleyball matches.
The 47th annual Oil Patch Golf Tournament teed off on Friday afternoon at the Perryton Golf Course as hundreds of players from all over the area turned out for a few days of golfing.
Pickleball may not yet be an Olympic sport, but it does have plenty of enthusiasts. Pickleball players in Ochiltree County can find a game at the Perryton Activity Center on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. and on Thursdays from 6-8 p.m.
Ochiltree 4-H members participated in the Texas State 4-H Round Up competitions in College Station. The event was held on the Texas A&M University Campus on June 7-10.
Over 2,000 4-H members from across the state represented clubs from almost every county in Texas.

The winning team of the Perryton Golf Club Thursday night scramble took the prize with a score of 30.
Team members were Rene Hernandez, Dustin Bruner, Oscar Valenzuela and Matt Appelhans.
