PHS tennis back on court

After having their season abruptly end last March due to Covid, the PHS tennis teams were once again on the courts over the weekend. The teams competed in the Borger Invitational Meet on Saturday. Thirteen athletes attacked the nets for Perryton in the meet.

Powerlifters take home top honors

It was another road trip for the Perryton High School powerlifting teams on Saturday. The teams lifted in the Dumas Invitational meet and had success. The Rangerettes lifted to first place and the Rangers took second place.

Lady Whitefaces top Rangerettes, sets up playoff with Demonettes

The Rangerette basketball team hosted the Hereford Lady Whitefaces to close out the regular district season on Friday night. Perryton hoped to avenge a loss on the road by the score of 64-54 to the Lady Whitefaces earlier in the season. A victory would place Perryton in the third playoff spot heading into post-district play.

Rangers fall in Dumas

After a close game in their first district matchup, which the Rangers won 52-50, the Dumas Demons got revenge at home on Tuesday. The Demons outscored the Rangers in every quarter to win going away by the final score of 68-53.

Low scoring fourth quarter dooms Rettes

The Rangerette basketball team traveled to Dumas to face the Demonettes on Tuesday night. Perryton took the first district game between these two teams, 64-54 in a high scoring affair. Tuesday’s game was a low scoring contest, which had the Rettes struggling to score in the fourth quarter. As a result, Dumas captured the win, 29-24.

WILSON SIGNS TO PLAY AT PRATT

Perryton High School senior Kaeden Wilson has offi cially signed to play volleyball at Pratt Community College in Pratt, KS. Wilson will be starting classes at PCC in the fall. Rettes improve against the Lady Eagles

The Canyon Lady Eagles basketball team came to town for their second contest of the season against the Rangerettes. Canyon is cruising through the season and is undefeated in district play. The much larger school has easily handled the smaller school competition in district play. Canyon defeated the Rettes by the score of 70-7 in their first match-up.

Rangers drop close game to Canyon

The Canyon Eagles basketball team brought their undefeated district record to Perryton on Tuesday for a showdown with the Rangers. Perryton sits with a 3-1 record in district play. The game ebbed and flowed and was close throughout the contest. The Rangers made a late run which fell just short as they lost by the final score of 44-40.
