The Rangerette volleyball team hit the road Tuesday for a matchup against the Fort Elliot Cougars. The match was competitive but the Rettes controlled the net and served well to win in four sets. Set scores were 25-17, 25-22, 25-23 and 25-11.

Perryton limited their service errors to only eight in the match. Gisselle Hernandez, Jocelyn Medina and Samantha Ramirez each served three aces to control the match. Kaeden Wilson and Tanya Navarrete served two aces apiece in the victory.

The Rangerettes worked hard at controlling the net offensively and defensively. As a result, it gave them several offensive attacks. Hernandez and Giovanna Macias led the Rettes with five kills each. Johanna Perez and Wilson each scored on three kills. Halley Farney and S. Ramirez posted two kills each while Leslye Ramirez and Yancey Judice had a kill apiece. The Rettes committed 23 attack errors in the match.

Assists were recorded by Wilson (11), Hannah Irvin (8), Judice (2), Perez (1) and S. Ramirez (1).

There were no solo blocks recorded by the Rettes in the match. S. Ramirez led the block assist totals with two. Farney, Judice, Perez and Wilson each had a block assist.

Back row defense was strong for the Rettes. Navarrete led the dig totals with 11. Wilson and Hernandez were close behind with 9 and 8 digs respectively. Other dig totals included Medina (5), Perez (5), Irvin (4), S. Ramirez (4), Farney (2) and Dijonay Qunitero (2).

The only drawback to the win for the Rettes were the 24 free ball returns they allowed.
