The Perryton High School track teams hosted the Perryton Invitational track meet on Thursday. It was a shortened event due to the combination of both the junior and senior high school meets to one day in order to bypass the weather. Thirty-four teams competed in the busy one-day event.

The Rangers won the boys’ side with 145 team points. Dumas was second with 137 points. The Rangerettes placed second as a team behind Dumas. Dumas compiled 155 points while Perryton totaled 138 points.

Perryton gained numerous points in the distance races. Fernando Borunda won the 800 meter run in 2:02.20. Jorge Palma placed second for Perryton. Gisselle Hernandez ran second for the Rettes in 2:36.51. Sofia Flores finished third for Perryton.
