Abel Zamora, 74, of El Paso, formerly of Spearman, died Jan. 18, 2021.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Cesar Gomez officiating. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

A rosary services will be held Sunday, Jan. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home chapel in Perryton. The funeral home will be open for viewing/visitation on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 24, from 1-9 p.m.

Services will be broadcast live on the funeral home’s Facebook page. There is a link on the website, boxwellbros.com, to access the page.

He was born May 26, 1946 in Chihuahua, Mexico, and married Emma Gomez on Dec. 17, 1969 in Sierra Blanca. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spearman.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ofilia Borunda; his parents, Feliciano and Francisca (Gonzalez) Zamora; and five siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Emma, of El Paso; two daughters, Sandy Flores of Perryton and Ana Zamora of Booker; two sons, Robert Zamora of San Angelo and Raul Zamora of El Paso; eight siblings, Marcelino Zamora, Irma Covarrubias, Rosa Granillo, Delfino Zamora, David Zamora, Rito Zamora, Ignacio Zamora and Emma Granillo; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
