Taylor rites set

Robert Paul “Bob” Taylor, 74, of Perryton, died Jan. 15, 2021 in Amarillo.

Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. at the Church of Christ with Rev. Mikel Petersen officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery in El Dorado, AR. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

He was born May 28, 1946 in Shattuck, OK, and grew up in Boise City, OK, graduating from high school in 1964. After graduation, he graduated from Panhandle State University in 1968 with a degree in business. After moving to Perryton, he married Gail Young. She died in 2001.

He worked at several jobs, and retired from the Perryton Independent School District. He later worked at United Supermarket and the Museum of the Plains. He also preached for many years at the Church of Christ in Booker. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and volunteered at the Ochiltree General Hospital gift shop.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Paul Edwin and Victoria (Wyszomierski) Taylor.

He is survived by two sisters, Cynthia Ramsey of Cushing, OK and Jennifer Taylor of Glencoe, OK.

The family suggests memorials to Church of Christ, PO. Box 928, Perryton; the Museum of the Plains, 1200 N. Main, Perryton; or one’s favorite charity.
