Emma Mendez
Emma Mendez, 90, of Perryton, died July 20, 2020.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Cesar Gomez officiating. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, social distancing will be practiced and occupancy number will be limited.
She was born Jan. 30, 1930 in San Miguel, Chihuahua, Mexico, and married Santiago Mendez March 20, 1950 in Mexico. He died in 2004. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Jose and Venedicta Dominguez; and two sons, Jose Louis Mendez and Adalberto Mendez.
She is survived by four daughters, Manuela Mendez of Chihuahua, Mexico, Guadalupe Mendez of Odessa and Andrea Mendez and Rosa Mendez, both of Perryton; five sons, Rigoberto Mendez and Jesus Antonio Mendez, both of Liberal, KS, Santiago Mendez Jr. of Amarillo, Mario Rafael Mendez of Dallas and Miguel Angel Mendez of Mexico; one brother, Jesus Antonio Dominguez of Mexico; 42 grandchildren; 25 greatgrandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
