Rollie Dewayne Rinker, 88, of Perryton, died July 28, 2026 in Spearman.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 1, at First Baptist Church in Perryton with Rev. Scott Higginbotham officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1937 in Van Buren, AR, and graduated from high school in 1956 in Elmore City, OK. He played basketball at Wayland Baptist University, and was a two-time All American.
He married Ann Ray on Aug. 18, 1959 in Fairbanks, AK. He coached and taught history in Plainview and Floydada, and was assistant high school principal and later Central Elementary principal in Perryton.
He also taught in Ector and was an administrator in Borger and Fritch. He later taught at an American school in Trinidad Tobago.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, serving as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and committee member.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; two sons, Gary Rinker and Mark Rinker, both of Perryton; one brother, James Rinker of Virginia; one sister, Carol, of Taiwan; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to missions at First Baptist Church, Perryton.
