Shirley Dunn
Shirley Jean Dunn of Comanche, OK, 82, formerly of Perryton, died April 8, 2024.
Services were held Saturday, April 13, at Boxwell Brothers Chapel. Burial followed in Ochitree Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 14, 1942 in Perryton, and graduated from Perryton High School. She married Willie Chad Dunn in Perryton. She worked in Utah and Nebraska before coming to Oklahoma.
She was a member of the Duncan Chapter No. 39 of the Eastern Star. She was Worthy Matron several times and was Grand Marshall of Oklahoma in 2005. She was also mother advisor of the Duncan Assembly Rainbow Girls and state mother advisor of Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Theodore Faye and Ruth Beatrice (Hill) Beard; one sister, Barbara Akin; and one great-granddaughter Alexis Leeann.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Jean Lang of Perryton and Stacey Ann Fiddler of New York City, NY; one sister, Joan Fisk of Dalhart; five grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
